What is Energy Psychology?
At the intersection of contemporary Psychology, Traditional
Chinese Medicine and Biophysics are a number of experimental
treatments that show promise in assisting people who are
unresponsive to traditional psychotherapy. This family of
mind-body interventions (including Thought Field Therapy,
Emotional Freedom Techniques and the REMAP process)
have been consistently clinically observed to help alleviate a
wide range of psychological concerns including traumas, anxiety,
phobias, grief, stress and to promote a higher level of health
and peak performance in physical, mental and creative arenas.
These methods are rewriting the rule-book for psychotherapy. By
combining the use of acupressure and psychology, emotional pain
is eased quickly and more comfortably than in traditional
psychotherapy. Like acupressure for the mind and emotions,
these methods present a natural, drug-free system to eliminate
negative emotions. The results are rapid and effective.
Research:
Preliminary Report of the First
Large-Scale Study of Energy Psychology
At the 5th Annual Energy Psychology Conference
International 2003, Dr. David Feinstein reported that: “In
preliminary clinical trials involving more than 29,000 patients
from 11 allied treatment centers in South America during a
14-year period, a variety of randomized, double-blind pilot
studies were conducted. In one of these, approximately 5,000
patients diagnosed at intake with an anxiety disorder were
randomly assigned to an experimental group (energy psychology)
or a control group (Cognitive Behavior Therapy / medication)
using standard randomization tables and, later, computerized
software. Ratings were given by independent clinicians who
interviewed each patient at the close of therapy, at 1 month, at
3 months, at 6 months, and at 12 months. The raters made a
determination of complete remission of symptoms, partial
remission of symptoms, or no clinical response. The raters did
not know if the patient received CBT / medication or energy
psychology. They knew only the initial diagnosis, the symptoms,
and the severity, as judged by the intake staff. At the close
of therapy:
·
63% of the control group were judged as having improved
·
90% of the experimental group were judged as having improved.
·
51% of the control group were judged as being symptom free.
·
76% of the experimental group were judged as being symptom
free.”
At one-year follow-up, the patients receiving energy treatments
were less prone to relapse or partial relapse than those
receiving CBT / medication, as indicated by the independent
raters’ assessments and corroborated by brain imaging and
neurotransmitter profiles. In a related pilot study by the same
team, the length of treatment was substantially shorter with
energy therapy and related methods than with CBT /
medication.”

REMAP Research Pilot Study:
Results
from Treating 8 Trauma Survivors with the REMAP process and
Measuring Treatment Effects with Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
Analysis
We found that HRV measures
greatly improved after REMAP treatment and correlated with
client self-reports that presenting symptoms were significantly
reduced after an average of 77.5 minutes of treatment.
Subjective Units of Distress eased by 87%.
More About the REMAP process:
The REMAP process is the state-of-the-art meridian
therapy in the exciting new energy psychology treatment
paradigm. It utilizes the pathways and treatment points of the
entire acupressure/acupuncture system to relieve emotional
distress. It provides a complete map of this system and also
includes, brain balancing eye movement techniques and other
leading-edge interventions. The synergetic effect of this
treatment is used to alleviate mental, emotional and energetic
patterns of distress within the mind-body matrix. The goal of
this approach is to eliminate trauma, stress and self-limiting
patterns while promoting wholeness, inner harmony and higher
levels of functioning.
The REMAP process is the only method that routinely utilizes all
of the 361 acupuncture treatment points in a process that is so
easy that you don’t even have to memorize any of the points.
Elements of the REMAP process have even been successfully taught
to children who have utilized the approach in their own
self-help. Now you can join therapists from around the United
States and other countries who are discovering this powerful and
exciting new treatment.

Other Comments About the
REMAP process Professional Training:
“How
immediately useful this approach is. Steve has real mastery of
the most valuable and powerful approach available and mastery of
empowering others to acquire these skills.”
“REMAP goes way
past TFT and EFT in the ability to deal with tough issues
quickly. REMAP leaves EMDR in its dust. It is one of
the most exciting and useful modalities available, definitely on
the leading-edge of therapy and a pioneering endeavor.
Steve’s work with REMAP in the training has accomplished in
minutes more therapeutic growth than months of more traditional
approaches. It should be required teaching in all schools
of counseling, psychology and social work.”
Donald C. Mappes,
Ph.D. (Licensed Professional Counselor)
“Totally
comprehensive and useful. Steve B. Reed’s REMAP process
breathes new life into therapy and brings true healing to the
therapeutic process.” Lee
Ann Rogers, MSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
“I have
trained with Ellis, Glasser, Shapiro, and NLP trainers. Steve
Reed is by far the best teacher and trainer for therapists.”
Dana Lehman, Ph.D.
(Psychologist)
“The REMAP
process is amazing. It is the most effective technique I have
seen in dealing with the treatment of trauma.”
Meg R. Thompson, LPC
(Licensed Professional Counselor)
“This
presentation was very well prepared, profoundly effective and an
absolute must for anyone who wants to be on the cutting-edge of
the psychiatric, psychological, social work and human healing
community.”
Before doing this workshop I was trained in EMDR, TFT and
EFT, all of which I have been using in my private practice and
consultative work. So far I have found that this works faster
and smoother than the others. The reduction of intense affects
and abreactions seems to go faster with the REMAP process. In
the past using other methods I have not always been successful
in bringing the SUD down all the way. EFT and EMDR are
effective helpful tools but the REMAP process moves like a
rocket. I have been using it only a short time but thus far it
has not failed. I would recommend this training to any trained
therapist to help intensify and speed the treatment process.”
Myron H. Koch, M.D.
(Psychiatrist)
Who should attend?
Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social
Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Drug &
Alcohol Counselors, Psychiatric Nurses,
Life Coaches and serious students of the mental
health field.
